Data Model

Hi all,

This is my first post as I am starting my PBI journey.

I want to create a data model that lets me view the customers hierarchically based on their type (Pivoting column Type per customer). I am trying to adopt the star schema, but need some help.

My focus is mainly on how I can create dimensions from my single table to enable the hierarchy view. i.e For Customer 1, show total project - > Sub projects ->Risk -> Issue ->...etc (based on column Type).

Link to sample file (I have highlighted some of the relationships to help).

I hope the above is easy to ingest 🙂

Many thanks for your help

Hi @BIexplorer ,

I'm sorry, I can't open your sample file, could you please give me a partial screenshot of the sample file so that I can manually add data for testing?

Best Regards,
