DAX measure over OLAP

Hi,

recent desktop (March 2021) seems to disable very precious option - create measures over OLAP cube (multidimensional). Whole section seems to be disable, while it's still possible to edit already existing measures. Previous version allowed this.

Bummer.

Anyone can confirm same behavior? Any comment from product team?

Thanks!

Hi @RadimHampel ,

Do you connect to SSAS Multidimensional Models in connect live mode?

Currently, only Tabular model supports to create report level measures in Power BI Desktop. For multidimensional cubes, you cannot create any measures or calculated columns. You can see:

Sorry for any inconvenience. Hope this feature will be put into use soon.😊

Hope that's what you were looking for.

Best Regards,

Yuna

Hi Yuna,

thanks, I mean multidimensional, I know that it's not written in documentation and it's not officially supported, but it worked for many previous months and Desktop versions (and it still works when I use older version).

This version removed this support and that's what this complain is about.

Anyone else created measures for multidimensional before?
