At the moment to view a visuals DAX query in the DAX Query View you need to run the performance and then copy the script to the DAX Query View. Could we have the option on a visual to click a button when a visual is selected and it automatically sends the DAX coding to the Query View for editing. Or even as a popout so you can change the DAX and then refresh the original visual?
Hi @Galenthias,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum. Also, thanks to @Royel, @hnguy71, for those valuable insights on this thread.
Thanks for sharing your idea. I can see how having a direct way to send a visual’s DAX query into the DAX Query View (without needing to run Performance Analyzer first) would make development and troubleshooting much faster.
Currently, Power BI does not provide that functionality out of the box. Since this is more of a feature enhancement request than a current product limitation, the best place to share it is the Fabric Ideas - Microsoft Fabric Community. That’s where our product team tracks suggestions, and it also allows other community members to vote on your idea to help raise its visibility.
Hope this clears it up. Let us know if you have any doubts regarding this. We will be happy to help.
Thank you for using the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
Hi @Galenthias,
