DAX MIN Function

Hello, I'm writing a DAX function and need to pass 4 arguments to the MIN function.  However it appears in DAX the MIN function can only accept 2 arguments.  Is there any workaround to overcoming the 2 argument limit with MIN?

Thanks so much!

Hi @Anonymous,

You can use Variables like in example below.

Column =
VAR m1 = MIN(YourTable[arguments1], YourTable[arguments2])
VAR m2 = MIN(YourTable[arguments3], YourTable[arguments4])
RETURN MIN(m1, m2)

Mariusz

Thank you very much - this solution works.  I also discovered that it can be done by simply nesting the min functions in lieu of using VAR.

Hi ,

Min Column Quantity =
CALCULATE (
MIN ( 'sample'[sales] )
)

you can try this ,it will consider the entire sales column and return the minimum out of it
I hope it helps you:-)
If yes please accept this as solution so that it can help others too
