DATEDIFF - cannot pick up dates

Hi everyone,

Trying to figure ut why this doesn't work but without any success, hope that you can help me.

I have a table containg different date values (and other values too). I want to calculate difference between created date and approval date but I cannot pick up the dates in the datediff formula.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks.

HI @LisaB,

So you want to calendar filter can filter records which not really exist in table but in date range defined by two date column fields?

If this is a case, I'd like to suggest you create a calculated table to store expand detail data, then use this table as bridge to link calendar and original table so you can direct use calendar to filter date in range.

Spread revenue across period based on start and end date, slice and dase this using different dates...

Hi @v-shex-msft,

Thank you for your reply. Seems like I tried to create a measure instead of a new column. It works when I created a new column.

Thanks!
