I am creating a line and stacked column chart, but am struggling to get the X axis in the correct sort order. I have sorted in table view by column 'Sort' so that it is in order 1-5, and even created a seperate table with just the age and sort, following on from google search on how to do this. I am also using for a table, and having the same issue.

Any ideas on how to resolve this please

Thank you 🙂

I think you want sort like this:

If so, please follow me:

1- go to table view, select the age column and go to sort by column and sort by sort column as shown bellow:

Now go to report view, select your column chart and sort by age in ascendig order:

Hi @Suzie_Suze_Sue1 ,

Select your column chart, and click on 3 dots that appear on the visual, go to sort axis, and select the value that it is in your x axis as shown bellow:

No had already tried this and didn't work 😞

Hi @Suzie_Suze_Sue1
Can you share a sample file with no sensitive information, just to se closer what is happening?

Yes, but not sure where I upload file to ?

You can upload to the cloud, like onedrive or other, and share the link for download here in comments.

Hoping this works

Hi @Suzie_Suze_Sue1

You might be sorting your viz by the measures and not by the category. You can see in the screenshot below that the categories are sorted according to the sort column.

No that doesn't work either.

The question is a slicer, so this is what I am getting
