Custom Slicer behavior.

 I have a single table with DateMonth and DateYear, I need to use slicer to filter visuals like below:

SLicer 1 will have all the months listed (jan to Dec), slicer 2 will have two values, Current and YTD.

Scinario 1: slicer 1= April, Slicer 2= Current, data displayed will only be of april month, example april 2018

Scinario 2: slicer 1= April, Slicer 2= YTD, data displayed will be of Jan 2018 to april 2018.

How can I implement this?

HI @ristyagi

I have attached a PBIX file that shows how you can use a dynamic measure based on a slicer.

Basically, don't create a relationship between the slicer and the fact table.

hi @Phil_Seamark,

Thanks for the quick response, just one thing to ask here,

in this solution we are getting the sum from table in a separate measure.

but in mu existing dat aI have multiple cloumns present in the table , whcih are used in nbullet charts, I simply need my charts to get filtered based on these combinations of slicers, how will that be possible ?

@ristyagi,

When you drag fields of your table and the measure into a chart , the chart will be filtered according to the selection in the two slicers.

Lydia
