Hi Team,

When we connect to snowflake data source, we are not getting advanced options in the powerquery editor to pass the custom sql Query.

Kindly suggest alternative way to pass Custom SQL query or When can PowerBI get this feature avaialble for snowflake data source.

Thanks in Advance,

Regards,

Prasad

Hey @Anonymous ,

Recently Snowflake team realized the functionality you were looking fo.

You can check the details in the link below

https://www.snowflake.com/blog/custom-sql-now-supported-in-the-snowflake-connector-for-power-bi/

Yes but it works only with power query in the desktop but not with power query online ...

Hi,
You can use a parameter and use the M function in the Navigation step via Advanced editor.
SAMPLE VIEW :
Create a Parameter:

and then use Table.SelectRows directly on the end Navigation Step.

This works because when changing the parameter, the refresh time of the dataset is very less than the actual refresh time of the complete dataset.

Hi @Anonymous ,

If you can't find these options on power bi snowflake connector, it mean power  bi not support them.
BTW, I also check snowflake odbc driver related informations but I haven't found any documents mentioned send custom t-sql query from odbc driver.
