Hi everyone
I have done this dozen of times in the past and now it doesn't work anylonger and I can't figure out why.
I am clearly signed in to my Power BI Desktop account (upper right corner).
When I try to connect to (or refresh) a file from Sharepoint Power BI doesn't seem to be aware of my credentials.
It won't let me sign in.
I have tried to clear all data source permissions and to use the default browser.
No success.
Anyone any idea what might be going on ???
Thank you so much!
Anja
This one solved the problem for me:

I did some further research and conculde it has something to do with the login screen to enter the organizational credentials which appears for a splitsecond and then vanishes. This seems to be an issue on the Microsoft Remote Desktop I am using. I tried the same via Parallels and from there all works. Any ideas how to allow for the pop-up screen in an envirnnment where I don't have admin rights? THANK YOU
@AnjaW I have this same issue where in remote desktop the pop up for credentials pops up for only a split second, did you manage to solve this?
I have the same problem.
I have also tried to delete all data sources to reconnect and it does not work either.
That's a really good idea. BUT, I tried that as well. Same issue.
I appreciate your attention to detail!
Hi @AnjaW - from the "Select which level to apply these settings to" you will need to select an option that includes "/personal/anja..." web part. In the current context, you are trying to connect to your Tenent One Drive, but you do not access to this level. Changing the setting to your personal OneDrive, which you have access.
@AnjaW So I guess this is not a power bi issue, you need to figure out why you cannot connect to SharePoint, forget Power BI for a sec.
I would ❤ Kudos if my solution helped. 👉 If you can spend time posting the question, you can also make efforts to give Kudos to whoever helped to solve your problem. It is a token of appreciation!

If I paste the same url in any browser it lets me in, no worry. Sharepoint seems to behave normal.
It's something to do with Power BI and the fact that I recently had to update my Office 365 password.
Just can't figure out how to go around it!
Hi thanks. I tried that as well, with the same result; when I click sign-in no pop up screen appears and it simply says it can't connect. 😞
@AnjaW can you check if the SharePoint location you are trying to connect to, you can directly use it, and go from there.
