Creating a table from existing table using SQL

Hi Team,

I am new to Power BI. Is there a way to create a new table from the exsisting table using SQL Query in Power BI. For example I have one table with two columns like "DeptName" and "EmployeeName". Now using this table I need to create a New Table where the new table should have data related to only "HR" Department using SQL query.

Regards,

Mohanraj

You can do it in two ways.

1:- Open Edit Queries --> right click on table --> Duplicate  --> FIlter only HR Department from DeptName column

2:- Use SQL Query as below and load the new table

select * from Table where DeptName  = 'HR'
