Creating a slicer out of Column Headers

Hi there power bi masters,

How can i create a slicer using the column headers? I tried using unpivot columns but the result was not what I wanted.

I wanted, the slicers to have OS1, OS2, OS3, OS4, OS5, OS6, OS1-6, File-Based, Smart Lexi. These are supposed to be channels.

Can please assist? Also i wanted both charts to interact with each other when the channels are selected like just show the cost and the hours of only selected channel. But at the moment it is not working properly. I suspect is how the data is formated. Tried changing in edit interactions but no luck. Thanks again.

Hi @Anonymous ,

In the query editor, you can select the columns that you don't want to unpivot, right click and then unpivot other columns. That should put the column headers in a column and the values in another so you can easily slice and dice them. Please see attached  modified pbix.

Hi @Anonymous ,

I am unable to open the pbix. But you can use filed parameters or try the approach in the attached pbix.

I still can't open the pbix. You must remove the sensitivity label.

Also, have you tried the approach in the pbix in my previous reply?

Hi @Anonymous
There is no access to the linked pbix , but if the goal is to choose the columns to show, you can use field parameters.
