Hi,
I would like to create a "Power Apps" application to be used in a Power BI report.
From reading the article on Power Apps found here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/power-apps/maker/canvas-apps/powerapps-custom-visual
And from waching this Youtube Video found here: Can’t INPUT DATA in Power BI? Here is a WRITE BACK Option with Power Apps! (youtube.com)
After I selected some fields from my data set in Power BI Desktop and then clicked on "Create New", a suggestion of a possible Power App should actually be made to me:
I am redirected to Power Apps after clicking on the "Create New" button. However, no possible app is suggested to me in Power Apps and the fields selected in Power BI from the data set are not embedded in Power App:
Can anyone help me here? How do I get my fields selected in Power BI embedded in Power App?
Many thanks in advance for your help!
David
Solved! Go to Solution.
Solution from the Power Apps Community:
Power Apps in Power BI Desktop provides data to Power Apps Studio when creating apps but not while editing. Use Power BI Web to preview the data while editing apps.
So can you try to publish your report to Power BI Service and then re-create the Power App visual in the website instead of creating the Power App visual in your Power BI Desktop.
And for more information, you can refer to :
Power Apps visual for Power BI - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn
Embed a new Power App in a Power BI Report. - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Hi @David1205 ,
According to the documentation, have you tried using the PowerBIIntegration.Refresh() function?
Hope it helps!
