Noob here. I'm creating a timeline to track the position of properties that are undergoing refurbishment. At the most basic, I'd like to show the first date each property was empty, the target date the property is being re-let, and the current date somewhere along the timeline between those dates. I can create the straight line with a constant measure, but how do you put something (a shape or a vertical line) through that constant line? I have the start and end dates. I've tried dragging various dates onto the X-axis, but I haven't had any success. Ideas please!
Hi All,
Firstly lbendlin thank you for your solution!
And @Walt1010 ,I tried to use gantt visual objects to do what you need and I hope my approach is helpful!
Progress =
VAR StartDate=MIN('Table'[Empty Date])
VAR EndDate=MAX('Table'[Target Date])
VAR TodayDate=TODAY()
RETURN
IF(
TodayDate>=StartDate&&TodayDate<=EndDate,
DIVIDE(DATEDIFF(StartDate,TodayDate,DAY),DATEDIFF(StartDate,EndDate,DAY)
,
0
),
IF(TodayDate>EndDate,1,0)
)
If you have any other questions, check out the pbix file I uploaded, I hope it helps!
Hope it helps!

Are you looking for a Gantt chart or a barbell chart type?
(There's always Deneb if you are willing to invest some time)
Probably more barbell than gantt. I'll take a look at deneb too.
