Creating a measure to visualize variance using color between columns based on multiple criteria

Hi - I need help in creating a measure to visualize variance using color between columns (my Report Generated Date) based on the following criteria:

  • Customer
  • Customer Ship-to Code
  • Material Description
  • Delivery Date

EDI Multi Criteria Screen Shot.png

I want to see a value turn red when it differs from the value in the previous generated date (Columns) (i.e. for this customer/ ship-to/ material combo, I want to see for February deliveries if on the 2/20/2020 report quantity was the same as the 2/19/2020 report quantity, etc., if they don't match, I want it to highlight in Red, if they do match, leave it as is).

I appreciate the help and hope I can get a solution!

Thank you,

Brittany

Hi Lionel,

The variables I am using are within three different tables.

  • Customer and Quantity are within Planning Schedule Forecast
  • Ship-to Code and Generated Date are within Planning Schedule Header
  • Material Description is within Material Lookup

When I use the ALLEXCEPT formula, I can only use one table. Is there a way around this as I need three?

I appreciate your help!

Hi @Anonymous ,

What fields did your three tables use to create table relationships?

Do you mind sharing your .pbix file?

Best regards,
Lionel Chen

Hi Lionel,

I appreciate you getting back to me! I have attached a file that has the same layout/ tables I am using on my working file (its very large).

Also, instead of changing the background color is it possible to just change the font color? I am sure I could find the answer on another thread, but thought I would ask 🙂

Here is the link to my file (you will have to save and download it) - it will not let me attach EDI Forecast Accuracy

Appreciate your help with this!

Thanks,

Brittany
