Hi,
Im trying to use a calculated value to display average margins that should be fixed for the year. Then i wish to multiply this margin with monthly volume values.
Currently when i try to do this, i use the month filter, but then in my table is takes the average margin of the selected month instead of the yearly average margin.
I wish to avoid making a separate column value for each month with CALCULATE.
any ideas are welcome:)

@Anonymous , both should give you this year sales
This Year= CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(ENDOFYEAR('Date'[Date]),"12/31"))
This Year = CALCULATE(sum('order'[Qty]),filter(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Year]=max('Date'[Year])))
Last Year = CALCULATE(sum('order'[Qty]),filter(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Year]=max('Date'[Year])-1))
To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :
