Creating a fixed calculated value

Hi,   Im trying to use a calculated value to display average margins that should be fixed for the year. Then i wish to multiply this margin with monthly volume values.    Currently when i try to ...

    i think you can probably use the all() function to bring back the year avg with a filter.

    if you can provide some data or the calculation with a structure of your data and what you wanting to show.

Anonymous , both should give you this year sales

This Year= CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(ENDOFYEAR('Date'[Date]),"12/31"))

This Year = CALCULATE(sum('order'[Qty]),filter(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Year]=max('Date'[Year])))
Last Year = CALCULATE(sum('order'[Qty]),filter(ALL('Date'),'Date'[Year]=max('Date'[Year])-1))

 

To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :
