Creating a filled map of the Great Britain regions

Hi. I am trying to create a filled map of road accidents by government office region in Great Britain. I have data records which have one of the following regions: 

E12000001, North East

E12000002, North West

E12000003, Yorkshire and The Humber

E12000004, East Midlands

E12000005, West Midlands

E12000006, East of England

E12000007, London

E12000008, South East

E12000009, South West

W92000004, Wales

S92000003, Scotland

When I use these regions as the location field to create the filled map, none of these areas show in the map. I have tried setting the Data category to 'City', 'Country/Region' and 'County', but none of these work. I have also tried adding ',England' to the end of the English regions but this doe not work either.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Please use a comma to add more context to the geo field and try to set the field data category as "Place". More tips for your reference.

Thanks very much for your help. 

I have managed to create a map similar to the one you have produced by adding more context to the geo field and using data category as 'Place'. The problem is that I need the data category to be supported by Bing Map to create a filled map (it won't work using 'Place'). 

Is it possible to create a filled map with a data categopry of 'Place'? I have tried to use 'Country/Region' and the other data categories but the regions do not map correctly.

For Filled Map, only State/Region, County and Zipcode are supported.

Hello meysun,

I am actually using Filled Maps for postcodes in UK . It does not appear at all where as the other classic map it will show as bubbles. But client intrested to see filled map. Even if i take latitude and longitue filled map does not respond for postcodes in UK.

Tried suffixing and pre fixing with UK for values in column "postcodes" still does not work. Could you please help us in acheiving the same.
