Hi everyone,
I'm currently facing a challenge while trying to create a bar chart in Power BI, and I'm hoping to get some guidance on this issue. I want to present the total budget costs per year using a bar chart.
In my dataset, I have two types of budgets: Budget 1 (in €) along with the date it needs to be paid, and Budget 2 (also in €) along with its payment date.
My goal is to represent the total budget cost for each year, but I'm unsure about how to effectively combine or sum Budget 1 and Budget 2. This way, I can have a single bar for each year showing the overall budget amount and not the two single amounts.
I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could help me with a suitable solution or approach to tackle this problem. Your assistance would be incredibly valuable to me.
Thank you in advance for your time and expertise!
Best regards,
hello @Tafakkkur
why not create a new measure
total = sum1 + sum2
then add on the tooltips the sum1 and sum2
