Creating a JSON template for use across the company. where is the best place to put it?

we have created a JSON file for the themes of our reports with all the colours etc

the question is where can we put it so it will be used for everyone in the company

Someone suggested putting it up on Sharepoint but I doubt very much people will go in and use it from there

can we add it somewhere so users can select it in Power BI?

Hi @DebbieE ,

There are three ways that you can refer.

1. The first way is like you said, putting it up on Sharepoint.

2. The second way is sending email. You can send the email attaching the JSON file to each person in your company.

3. The third way is creating a Power BI Report and publishing to Power BI Service, then share it to users in the organization.

1) We need to upload to OneDrive For Business. And copy the link.

2) Then we can create a report using Power BI Desktop.

3) At last we need to configure the URL column data type to web URL, create a table visual and publish to Service.

4) We can share this report to the person in your organization, they can download the JSON file using the URL.

this is perfect, thank you so much

Im also thinking about showcasing possible templates using featured content which might be a good draw to get people wanting to use the templates and the JSON theme files.

Thanks again
