Creating Connection is Model - Power BI Desktop

Hi everyone, 

I have been getting to see 'Creating Connection to Model' which is never ending while loading data to my model. I have changed the datasource from Web to an SQL based database. If I get the data using the Web link, it works fine. However, if I try to get data using SQL database, it just keep on trying to create connection. 
Is there a quick fix for this? 

I would really appreacite your help!

In the options, try turning off the connections features in your file.

I have applied these settings, but nothing changed.
