Creating Connection in Model when loading & Applying

Anyone has a new solution for this issue when it is applying the data from the Power Query editor.

All the solutions posted in this Forum do not solve the problem.

Hi @PedroPascual ,

This issue may be caused by various factors, such as the size and complexity of the data, the connection mode, the settings, or the version of Power BI Desktop. Here are some possible solutions that you can try:

  • Uncheck the options “Allow data preview to download in the background” and “Parallel loading of tables” in the Options and settings > Options > Data Load menu.
  • Reconnect to the data source and select only the columns and rows that you need for your report.
  • Delete any empty columns or rows in your data source, especially if it is an Excel file.
  • Update to the latest version of Power BI Desktop or downgrade to a previous version that worked for you.
  • If you are using a virtual machine, make sure that it has enough resources and permissions to run Power BI Desktop.
