Hi everyone,
I would like to create a connection between the IFC model and Power BI, and most important, show the model in Power BI. I would like to know which tools (software) I have to use to create add-ins for Power BI, which languages gonna be best for the job, and what are possible languages to use to create the Power BI add-ins or visualizations.
I have tried to find some directions but all the time I am finding the same post about ready add-ins, and I need to pay for those. I am not interested in those. I am also a programmer and I can probably create such add-ins/visualizations by myself but I don't know where to start.
I am completely new in Power BI, sorry if the question is stupid, but who asks not getting lost.
Thanks for some directions.
You can integrate an IFC model with Power BI by developing a custom visual using the Power BI Visuals SDK with TypeScript/JavaScript, and leveraging libraries like three.js for 3D rendering. For example, we built an IFC viewer for Power BI, which you can check out here: https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/power-bi-visuals/flinkergmbh1644589155747.ifc-viewer.
Hi there, I am attempting similar, did you manage to get an IFC into Power BI without any third-party apps?
