Create a connection between two tables for the user

Hello!

I would like to thank anyone in advance who is willing to help. I am not fluent in English, so if something is unclear, please ask and I will explain better.

Here's my problem (I included a screenshot of how it should look below): I need the information to disappear from Table A (Opportunity Name) and appear in Table B, and vice versa, when the user selects an item from Table A (or B) and clicks the white button.

I've searched but haven't been able to find an answer. Is there a relatively easy way to do this that I'm missing?

The idea is that the data/information in A represents items that still require work, while B contains those that have been completed - is a tool to control and know which ones of the opportunity names still need attencion.

P.S.: I'm not a professional in Power BI; I'm still learning.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Do you want to get the functionality which shown in below screenshot? If yes, I'm afraid it can't be achieved in Power BI. Could you please explain more details(sample data, backend scenario, screenshot etc) on your requirement? Later we can check if there is an alternative to get it.

Hello,
Thank you for your drawing. This is exactly what I need. Would it really not be possible, not even with code?

Hi @Anonymous ,

Base on my research, I regret to inform you that the feature you are looking for is not currently achieved in Power BI. In the meantime, please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with or if there are any alternative solutions you would like to explore. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Best Regards

Hello, thank you for your reply!
I don't know if I managed to make my problem clear, but from what I understood, the alternatives you suggested would not suit me. I need the user to be able to select a piece of data from a large list (from table A) that, after clicking the button, is transferred to table B. If I use the bookmark, all the information would disappear and not just the one selected by the user (or would there be any way to do this using the bookmark?).
The second option you showed would also not be what I need, since it teaches how to hide the information. I don't want to hide it; I want to be able to transfer the information from one table to another, and vice versa, through a button after the user selects the information.

Hi,

There are couple of solutions that would help you. One is to use bookmarks, so if you click on one button, the visual table A gets hidden, clicking on the other button B gets hidden. This is a nice a space saving solution, as you can either show table A or table B, by using the button (and action). You can read about it here:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/desktop-bookmarks?tabs=powerbi-desktop

If you however, want to keep both tables and just want to show the content of A/B based on the selection, you can create that using help of this:

Oktay
