Create Simplified column using table connected to Dataverse

Hi all,

I have created a dashboard that is taking data from a dataverse table.

I'd like to create another column that simplifies one of the columns in the dataverse table. I'm struggling to do this as it is not possible to create a new column in power bi using a dataverse table as it is a direct query table. As far as im aware it can't be converted to a import table as the data needs to be updated as soon as the dataverse table is updated.

Is there another way of doing this? Potentially copy the data into another table and add the column in the new table?

Can anyone help?

Potentially is it possible to duplicate a column to another table that auto-updates? Then from there i can split by delimiter?
