Create Custom Columns | Live Connection

Hi, 

 

I'm integrating data throught live connection. When the integration is done by live connection can't create custom columns.

 

Anybody know how create custom columns in other form?

Hi @Anonymous,

 

When you get data with Live Connection, it is not available to create custom column in Query Editor.

 

But for some data sources like SQL Server DB, you could still create calculated columns as well as measures via DAX.

Thank you for your responce.

 

To get data in Power BI, I use Analysis Services like source.

 

I tried create calculate columns in Visual Studio and after get deploy for PowerBi. The deploy is sucessed and the column calculated appear in PowerBi but when i tried used, get the next error:

 

"the expression referenced column which does not hold any data because it needs to be recalculated or refreshed"

 

I don't know what the make in this situation.

 

Can you help me please?
