Hi Im trying to use the desktop version of power bi and when using the Data tab Im trying to add a new calculated field that can calculate a countif expression.
So it would count the number of entries in a column (if the value in a different column equals a string of text AND the value in another column equals the adjacent cell).
When I use excel I can do this through a countifs() function but cant find this functionality in power BI.
Does anyone know of a way this can be done?
Thanks you very much in advance!
In DAX, you would use COUNTX or COUNTAX.

You can also do this by creating a calculated column that uses an if statement to return a 1 or a 0 depending on your specific criteria and then doing a simple COUNT of that column. But COUNTX is better. You could also probably get there using a CALCULATE with a COUNT expression and the right filter(s).
