Power BI Community,
I have a data set that includes the following information in two columns:
*Both columns are in TEXT format.
I would like to count the number of times a particular word is being used in all the descriptions within my data set. Is it possible to perform such an exercise within Power BI?
Regards,
Gus Dahu
Hi @gusdahu ,
One sample for your refererence. We can create a measure to work on it.
Measure =
CALCULATE (
COUNTROWS ( Table1 ),
FILTER (
Table1,
SEARCH ( "Repair", Table1[PO Description], 1, BLANK () ) <> BLANK ()
)
)
Hi @gusdahu ,
kindly share your sample data and excepted result to me if you don't have any Confidential Information. Please upload your files to One Drive and share the link here.
Are referring to having a measure that counts the order and description or each individual word within the PO/Description?
Count PO = Calculate (Count(Purchase Order)
Count PO Description = Calculate (Count(PO Description)
Hi @Jorgast ,
I am looking for a formulae that counts each individual word. For instance, I would like to know the number of times the word repair or weld comes up in my descriptions.

Gus Dahu
