Count sub_categories

Hi, I need to create a measure that counts strings under one category. I have already access to the result but using

CONCATENATEX function that turns the result into string.  I need to have access to this result in number format for using it later as a filter in other analysis.

The measure that I have used:

count_main_routes =
VAR full_table =
    SUMMARIZE (
        relation_table,
        table1[acronym],
        "count",  DISTINCTCOUNT(table2[sub-category])
    )
VAR in_text =
    CONCATENATEX ( full_table, [count], ", " )
RETURN
    in_text

Thanks in advance

acronym
++sub-category 1
++sub-category 2

expected result
 count
acronym2

@talaespinosa , simply DISTINCTCOUNT(table2[sub-category]) should give the count.

or try like

VAR in_text =
"acronym " & CONCATENATEX ( full_table, [count], ", " )
