I have a dataset with multiple Items in rows and multiple dates in columns.
E.g.
Item # Date1 Date2 Date3 Date4
1 1-Jan 10-Jan 15-Jan 24-Jan
2 1-Jan 9-Jan 18-Jan 25-Jan
3 3-Jan 14-Jan 16-Jan 29-Jan
I would like to have a line/Stacked chart that plots the count of items (y-axis) for each column (date1, date2, date3, date4) with a separate line/stack on a single timeline (x-axis)
Is this feasible with the current charts available in PowerBI?
First of you need have all date columns idetified as date. Also create a date dimesnion and join it with all four dates. One active and 3 inactive join. Then create formula to use a date as per need.
Refer how to create formula to a particular date. Check Hire and terminate formula
To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s.
