Count of a column and filter on another

Hi-

I am creating a matrix chart where I want to see the count of one column (subscription names) but only where the type is a specific value.

I typed but it does not work. I dont get an error but no counts are returned. I verified in the table the value in the type column is correct.

Total CloudServices =

COUNTAX(FILTER('VIEW_DataAPIDetails',[Type]= "microsoft.classiccompute/domainnames"),[SubscriptionName])

 Thank you so much. Sorry for the delay. I had multiple issues, one was data not in the table in non production but I used the DAX function for other reports/ tables w/ the same filter need and it worked perfect. I appreciate your quick turnaround

Can you please try the following:

CALCULATE(
   COUNTA('VIEW_DataAPIDetails'[SubscriptionName]),
   FILTER('VIEW_DataAPIDetails','VIEW_DataAPIDetails'[Type]= "microsoft.classiccompute/domainnames")
)

if tzhis does not work can you please show a picture of the data model cinl. columns and relations as well as how the matrix visual looks like?
