Count of Dates that is within this year - Measure

Hi all,

I need to produce a Card with a measure that will count a dated column, it should produce a count if it is within this year. so the below table has 7. I can get it to work with a helper column as shown in right but I would prefer to have a measure rather than a calculated column. Is this possible?

I tried:

This Year = CALCULATE(COUNTROWS('Table'),'Table'[Date]=YEAR(TODAY()))   but it doesn't work.

A small correction

This Year = CALCULATE(COUNTROWS('Table'),YEAR('Table'[Date])=YEAR(TODAY()))
