Count and add Dates to create a figure for the end of the working week - End of week being a Friday

Hi,

I am trying to create a line chart that shows the end of week date at the bottom, count going up the side.

I would also like to add a project date range (01/01/2017 - 31/12/2017 - for example) with a target line (say 245)

to do this, would i need create a DAX/FX that Counts and adds the dates within the column (and date period) to create a figure for a working week (End of week being a Friday)? please help...

Main Table is PRJSTRequests (there are multiple date columns that will require this DAX/FX)

I have also created a calendar table (would i need one calendar per date column due to relatioships?)

i.e PRJSTRequests[Billing Date] linked to Calendar - Billing Date[Week Ending]

Calendar - Billing Date[Week Ending]

FX = Week Ending = [Date] + (5- [Day of Week]) - does this equate to a Friday?

FX = Week Number = "W" & WEEKNUM([Date],2) & "_" & YEAR([Date])

There are 16 different columns that i may need to report on 🙂

Hi @Dean1972,

What is your desired result? What information do you want to report in a line chart? From current description, it looks like you would like to shows the end of week date (each Friday) on chart X-axis, right? Then, what about the Y-axis values? Please illustrate your requirement with examples.

Hi Yuliana or anybody else 🙂

Please could i ask for your help ???

Is there any way that you can post sample data that can be copied into a table? I don't see being able to solve this without recreating the scenario and experimenting with the formulas, etc.
