Beginner to PowerBI.. is it possible to take an existing SQL server query connected to datasource and copy it into PowerBI with the same datasource?

What If there are multiple joins and within the SQL query and the query itself is around 150 lines of code. ? and in future, what if I need to include additional columns and remove columns in the sql script? should the changes be done in the above dialogue box and reload ? Is that an efficient approach ? Looking for possible suggestions. Thanks in Advance!
In that case, you will open the Power BI and go to edit queries. There you select your data base and click in source, the Power BII will show you the SQL script you`ve created
