Copy/Paste PowerBI --> Excel Issue

Hello, just wondering if anyone has had this issue/knows what could be going wrong?

I am trying to copy my data table from PowerBI -> Excel to send to someone.

I go to the data tab. Right click. Select "Copy Table". Then I go to Excel and select "Paste".

There is a column of #s in the Table. The column is existing in the source data (not a calculated column/measure, not done in PowerQuery).

When I paste into excel the sum of that column does not match (1) the visuals in PowerBI (2) the PowerBI source data file.
Any idea of what could be going wrong in the copy/paste?

Hi @kressb ,

If you get a result similar to the following, you can try to widen the width of the cell.

Or could you share some screenshots around the issue please? This is not helping much.

Add error screenshot as well which you are facing.

Hope that's what you were looking for.

Best Regards,

Yuna

my issue was data was set to "whole number" - when copy/pasting to excel with so many rows, the sums were vastly different than in the original data. I change data type to decimal # and now it matches.

Thank you for responding!
