Hello Power BI Community,
I’ve been researching the functional scope of Copilot for some specific requirements and have already found a few helpful insights. However, the following questions remain unanswered:
- Can Power BI Copilot edit or refine visuals that were created manually or by Copilot itself?
- Can Copilot perform advanced analytics, such as predictive analytics? If so, can it also integrate a visual representation of the results into a report or dashboard?
- Is it possible to access the same data sources using Copilot as with the manual "Get data" option?
Unfortunately, there are a lot of questions for which I have not yet found any information, so I am grateful for any knowledge and tips!
Thank you in advance for your support!
Regards
David

Hi @Anonymous,
Thank you for reaching out in Microsoft Community Forum.
Thank you @Akash_Varuna for the helpful response.
1.Copilot cannot edit manual visuals But it can recreate or improve visuals through prompts.
2.Copilot cannot run machine learning itself But it can assist with trend analysis using DAX and visualize results from external tools (e.g., Fabric Notebooks, Azure ML).
3.Copilot works with the same data already loaded into the model It cannot connect to new sources — data must be loaded manually via "Get Data".

Hi @Anonymous As far as I know, Copilot cannot refine manual visuals or perform advanced analytics like predictive modeling but supports integrating external tools. It can access the same data sources as the "Get data" option; you could check Microsoft docs for updates.
