Consecutive dates

I am having an issue with my report, I have a table with a reference and start date (the earliest date is the start date and the latest date is the end date), Reference numbers are duplicated with different start and end dates, the report is working for those have a consecutive date but for those having the gap between start and end date is not working correctly) I want to show them in a different row if there is a gap between the start and end dates.
