Connection to sever of which I am not a user

Is there a way in which I can connect from my  PowerBI desktop to our client's server, when I am not a user on that server?

Previously I was working from a remote desktop to acheive this. As they will be changing their server, it would be preferable to connect directly to their sever.

@SueM , if you do not access server DB or Power bi dataset, you can not connect.
