Hello y'all,

I try to connect PowerBi on my enterprise ERP which is called Sylob. This ERP contain as languages INFORMIX, DB2 and PostGre which are all in SQL.

Then, when I try to connect and import data from the ERP, I have errors messages ( you can see on attachements).

If someone has already seen this problem or know what I have to do, please let me know.

Thank you.

Hi @Mlck ,

This error usually means that the client can't find the SQL Server instance. This normally happens when at least one of the following problems exist:

  • The name of the computer hosting the SQL Server
  • Instance does not resolve the the correct IP
  • The TCP port number is not specified correctly

Checklist:

  1. SQL Server are up are runing
  2. check the correct instance name
  3. add in exception in firewall
  4. check if anti virus is using it
  5. check the sql browser services

@Mlck , if you where able to connect in the past, then try to do clear permission in data source setting under tranform data and try again.

If not check the server ur, port and crentials are correct. Also check are you able to connect to sql server sql server managemen studio, if not check deatils.

You have mentioned three databases above, that do not include SQL Server. So are you using correct database ?
