Connection Restriction

Hi Experts,

Is there a way to restrict a user from using import Data or Direct query connection in Power BI?

Please let me know if its possible?

Are you saying you want to restrict a user to connect to a specific data source (such as a SQL DB)? If this is the case, you can remove the user's permission on the specific data source, so he/she will not be able to access it.

Thanks for the reply. I am actually looking for an option where I can restrict user from selecting the Import Data option (radio button) when he uses the Get Data option for the very first time.
