I had a report of SharePoint list, created by PBI desktop, and published on PBI Web, and the report worked fine. But two days ago I got this error from end user:
Connecting to a SharePoint List Office 365 error.
SharePoint: Request failed: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.
I tried to resove issue in PBI desktop, but there is same error. I also get simmilar error by trying to recreate a new report from scratch but simmilar issue appeared when connecting to sharepoint list:
Thanks for any help!
Good call @pqian, @sarahs you might also check your O365 portal if you have access to it and see if there is or recently was a service outage of some sort.
Thanks @Greg_Deckler there is no health issue and 13400 resources are still available!
@sarahs - Well, if you can't get to it via the web, then Power BI certainly will not work. I checked the same link on my own O365 tenant and it works no problem so there is something up with your tenant. I would open a support ticket via the O365 Admin Portal and see what the problem is.
Best bet is probably to send a frown to support from the Service or Desktop and include a screen shot of the error. You can also turn on tracing in the Desktop, File | Options and settings | Options | Diagnostics | Enable tracing
