Hello, how can I put the instance name on a informix connection.
At sever field I put: myserver:myPort
At DataBase I put: myDataBaseName
But I couldn't found where I can put the instance server name.
For example, in a JDBC connection I can put everything in a single line:
jdbc:informix-sqli://myHostServerName:myPort/myDataBaseName:INFORMIXSERVER=myInstanceServerName
But I don't know how do this at connection wizard of Power BI.
Without a instance server name, the connection will target a default instance name which my login doesn't have access privileges.
So I can't perform authentication.
@Anonymous,
In server field you can input: ServerName/InstanceName: Port
In Database field you can input: DatabaseName

@v-yuta-msft, it doesn't work. Power BI try to resolve "hostname/instance" as a hostname, so a I receive a message unknown host. This works like a charm with others db's like Oracle.
@Anonymous,
In your senario, I would recommend you to use ODBC connector with connection string instead and try again. For more details about ODBC, please refer to: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-connect-using-generic-interfaces#data-sources-accessible-through-odbc.

@v-yuta-msft, unfortunately Power BI don't list schemas and tables of Informix ODBC connection. See the picture bellow. I did a test in Excel with same ODBC connection and everything worked fine. In Excel I could see all tables, but not in Power BI.
@Anonymous,
Have you solved the issue currently? If still can't resolve it, I would suggest you to create a support ticket to achieve deeper help.
