Connecting to CDM Error Message "This Environment Isn't Supported"

Hello all,

So I have created a Powerapp that allows you to modify data in an entity in my personal CDM database.  I now want to consume this data into a Power BI model.  I click get data and choose the CDM online option and it gives a drop down of my databases (there is only one) I choose my database and click "ok" and get the following error message:

"This Environment Isn't Supported

Your region may not be supported yet, or your admin hasn't enabled Power BI for this envrironment"

Any thought on what to tell my Azure admin what to do at this point???

Hi @jkingry,

The Common Data Service connector is currently in preview and only available to a segment of users in the United States. So make sure your database region is United States.

In addition to being part of the preview group, to use this connector, you'll also need to:

  • enable the Power BI integration in the PowerApps admin portal
  • have maker permissions in PowerApps
  • sign in to PowerApps at least once

If you still have any problem to use the Common Data Service connector, I would suggest you email CDSPowerBIPreview(at)Service.Microsoft.com for better assistance. Smiley Happy
