Connecting User input manually data to data set

Hallo!

i want to create an option for a client as followed:

the dataset use for badget.

the user want to enter on the dashboard |"target badget" for each month on current year (meaning i have to give hime 12 input fields for that). - i use a slicer for that:

those values, i need to take and calaculate :" % Incomes vs Target Badget "KPI, which calculate like that:

incomes /Target Badget.

incomes= i have it for DB (per Month)/

Target Badget=as i menthod, those values are values need to be taken from the slicer and connected to the month of the incomes so i can represent the kpi by month (lets say: bar graph , 2 measurment: Income amount, Target amount, "% On Badget".the X series is Month.

i will appriciate your help!

br

Mordehai.

Hi @Mathu

There are a few ways of doing this.

this video is very good at explaining how to input data at a report level using Power Apps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5y2jJyH4Eu0

If Power Apps isn't an option for you company. You can Create a SharePoint List for such things. It won't be live, but the data will refresh with the Report refresh and SharePoint also offers lots of Meta data like employee data from Azure like Department, Role etc..

Create the columns in Sharepoint, like Date, Amount, Project/Department/etc... Anything needed to create relationships with your current data. You then need to give permission to the end users to the list so they can edit.

Using the SharePoint List connector, connect to the List. When the data is loaded, there are options to add this Meta data I mentioned above.

You can then make the calculations you need to make.

Thanks

Joe
