Hi Team,
Does anyone have any experience of connecting Power BI to a REST API? I have no experience of APIs, but it looks as though you can access a goldmine of data using them.
I'm interested in football data in particular, and have found the following sites that offer data for free:
http://www.footytube.com/openfooty
I'd like to learn how I could pull data held on these sites into Power BI for anaylsis/visualisation, but other than requesting an authentication key, I don't know where to start.
Does anyone have any experience of doing this? And if so, how did you do it?
Cheers,
Matty
HI @Matty,
I don't think this is simply to achieve, you need to find out source data api first.
After your find out source data api, you can consider to use web connector to invoke these api to get result and transform them as query tables.
Working with web services in Power Query/Excel and Power BI

Thanks for the links - I will see if they help.
