Connecting Power BI to Azure SQL Server with SQL Authentication

Greetings,

Could any one of you please suggest how can i connect Power BI to AZURE SQL Server with SQL Server Authentication. Thank you in advance. When i connect try to connect, i do not see any sql server authentication space provided to enter. There is a way at the data sources level but not while connecting. 

 

Any help will be appreciated. attached image in below link

Like connecting to an on-premises database, you must enter the correct service name and then verify the credentials.

1.Get data->azure database sql

2. Enter the full server name and database name

3.Then enter your credentials.

Also, does the "configuration" you mentioned refer to "data source settings" where you can edit or delete the original data source credentials?

Hi, @Anonymous 

Please make sure you have put in the correct server name and crenditials.

Fully qualified server name and database name can be found in the Azure portal.

Hi, can you share where are these settings in the Power BI Desktop? I am trying to connect using MS Power BI Desktop, so i am requesting the settings for MS power BI Desktop and not on the Azure SQL server.

I should have been more speficic, i am using PBI desktop to connect and not server.
