I'm familiar with pulling in multiple data sources into a single model but I ran into some issues and I'm looking for advice on the next steps.
Today, I connected a new file to a PowerBI dataset and it prevented me from connecting to any other data sources in that file, I tried this multiple times/multiple ways to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong and I received a dialog box that told me it couldn't be done (vs just graying out the 'get data' options). Ok, I get that this won't work; no problem, now I need to look for other solutions.
My next idea is to pull the data directly from a SQL query. But before I set this up, I want to know whether or not I'm going to run into the same problem. If I connect to a SQL query, will I still be able to connect to Salesforce/Excel in the same file?

Hi @CCLARKMC ,
Not sure about SalesForce, but I am able to connect to multible SQL databases and multiple Excel files in one report.
Let me know if you have any questions.
If this solves your issues, please mark it as the solution, so that others can find it easily. Kudos 👍are nice too.
