Connect to access database protected by user/password

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to connect an Access DB to my PowerBI but it goes wrong.

I have a login and a pwd when connecting to Access so I guess this is the problem but I do not know how to give those credentials in PBI.

Does someone have an idea? Or a turnaround?

Have a nice evening.

Hi  @KevSan ,

Pls test the below steps:

- Go to Search (on the taskbar) and search for 'ODBC'

- Create a new ODBC Access data source linked to that particular .mdb file

- Go to Power BI, "Get Data", and select ODBC

- Select the ODBC data source you created, and a screen will prompt, asking for the password

- Enter the username and password of the database, and you are done

Best Regards

Lucien

Hi Lucien

I´m stuck, I did all steps but power BI couldn't connect
the error Detalles: "ODBC: Has a error, but there is no info available for the error of ODBC."

Thanks @v-luwang-msft .

I'm trying to... but my file is on a file server which is not available in the list (even if available in the session)
