Connect to Excel 365 as data source

Hi there,

Is it possible to connect to an Excel Online (Office 365) workbook as a data source?

If not, I'm also open to alternative Office based cloud solutions such as an Excel workbook hosted on Sharepoint.

Hi @chriswragge,

Based on my test, Power BI doesn't provide a direct data connector for Excel online (Office 365) workbook. To get data from Excel online, you may need to export data to local Excel file or connect to Excel workbook hosted on Sharepoint as you mentioned.

Get the  sharepoint link of your Excel 365 file. Then to connect with Power Bi use the "web" connector which you get previously. Use you organizacional account to reach the sharepoint file!
