Conditional value box based change colors based on string value

Hi

I've a dataset as under

TypeStatus
AFavorable
BUnfavorable
CModerate

I was wodering if there was a way to have 3 value boxes for each of the "Type" where the color of the boxes change depending on the status
viz. for Favorable it should change to green, red for unfavorable and yellow for Moderate

I know crds with states by OKViz does something similar but it wouldnt accept string in conditions it only accepts numeric conditions

You can create a measure to assign as conditional formatting as follows and choose Field Value then the CF measure.

CF =
var _status = SELECTEDVALUE(T10[Status]) return
SWITCH(
    _status,
    "Favorable", "Green",
    "UnFavorable", "Red",
    "Moderate", "Yellow"
)

@Fowmy

Thanks a lot for your solution !
I just figured how to make it look like a box and increase the font sizes !

Hi @Fowmy ,

Thanks for your reply, but it seems like I can only conditionally format fields in a table and not in a vaue box,

Also, how do I increase the size of the cell if I were to use it as a table ?

@dollarvora card with states is your friend, just create a measure for conditions and return number value in the measure and use it for conditions.
