Hi community
I have a matrix table with 2 calculated fields 2021 QTY vs 2020 QTY. Ive converted these to a 'percentage of the column total' to compare the share across each year.
I'd like an icon next to 2021 Share column to show whether its increased or decreased, is this possible and if so how ?
Many thanks !

Hi @Caldowd98
I don't quite understand your needs. If you just want to compare the diff between calculated column 2021 and calculated column 2022 , you can create a column to calculate the diff and then set conditional formatting for the field. Why compare 2 measures ? What is the role of your two measures creations?
Please specify your needs, if possible, please attach your pbix file (remove sensitive information),it will help us to deal with your problem easier .

@Caldowd98 I think you are making it super complicated. Let me ask you this? Do you have change % measure in your report?
Can you share pbix file using one drive/google drive, remove any sensitive information before sharing.

@Caldowd98 you need to change this to the measure you want to use
and in the rules, don't use percent but use number and the value you should 1 for 100%, .5 for 50%, .25 for 25% and so forth so on.

Hi @Caldowd98 ,
Try changing the percentage to decimal numbers and then enter the conditional formatting rules. I think it works that way.
Hi Thanks again for response.
This doesnt seem to work again. Im looking to compare a measure against another one, thats in the same table.
The only conditoinal format options it gives is comparing the measure to an absolute value.
Try creating a new measure comparing two measures and then apply conditional formatting based on the new measure.
Thanks Noorani - did have a go at this but this was comparing the absolute values, and not the values as a percentage of the table. Im looking to format based on if the percentage of the table has increased or not - any ideas welcome !
Thanks all
@Caldowd98 it can work with any measure you want, just make sure when you set up the rules you picked up the correct measure.

@Caldowd98 In conditional formatting pick Icons and then in rules add if your measure > 0 then up arrow otherwise down arrow or whatever works for you:

Hi parry2k
Thanks for your response! This works on the absoulute values of the column, but not when i convert to a percentage of the table.
EG the values are all up for 2021 compared to 2020, but the percentage of the table is slightly different
